The Neuromaster system

The Neuromaster (Made in Germany) is a medical device according to MDR. Produced according to EN ISO 13485. The system can be used universally for biofeedback, neurofeedback and psychophysiological research.

The structure of the system is Completely modular, This means you can start small and add to your system as required. Whether training or research, the Neuromaster system offers the right solution for all users!

Properties and advantages

Bio- and neurofeedback

You don't have to choose - both variants in one device!

Biofeedback and neurofeedback are two methods that complement each other perfectly. Why choose? The Neuromaster offers the possibility of biofeedback and neurofeedback in one device!

If you are thinking of offering both methods (even if this is only in the future), you should definitely choose a system with both functions. This will save you money on another system and you won't have to go to the trouble of learning another software.

Flexible operating modes

Whether stationary, with mains adapter, mobile via radio or storage mode on the SD card.

The Neuromaster offers 3 different operating modes and therefore immense flexibility in use.

Use the system as a classic desktop device (with mains power), wirelessly via radio (with batteries) or save the data on an SD card in memory mode.

Each Neuromaster can be used in all 3 modes.

The system can be used either with batteries or mains power. Please note: With other products, you are usually forced to rely on rechargeable batteries, whereas here you can simply use your power socket.

Heart rate variability

Precise recording of HRV with ECG module and analysis software included.

The heart's reactions to the environment and mood - the variations in heart rhythm - form the basis of heart rate variability. This biofeedback modality has gained immense popularity in recent years.

The Neuromaster system gives you the opportunity to train the HRV of your clients and also to carry out a highly precise HRV analysis.

Versatile

Record skin conductance, temperature, respiration, muscle tension, EEG and much more.

The Neuromaster measures:

  • EEG (neurofeedback)
  • EMG (muscle tension)
  • ECG (heart rate variability)
  • Breathing
  • Skin conductance
  • Temperature
  • Pulse

For many disorders, it is highly recommended to measure several parameters at the same time in order to understand the individual interplay of the values and to exert a targeted influence on them.

Simple software

Intuitive and easy-to-understand structure for an immediate start.

The Neuromaster system software is characterised by its intuitive handling and ease of use. Even people who are not particularly enthusiastic about technology will find the software very easy to use. You can plug in the device and get started straight away.

The software performs various tasks itself, e.g. it automatically recognises which sensors are plugged in and how the device is currently supplied with power.

Training libraries

Meeting templates created by experts - simply start with one click.

The so-called session libraries are a key component of the ease of use of our software. These are 14 sets created by experts (each set consists of many session templates), which can be started for specific indications with just one click. Each template also contains detailed instructions on the parameters, objectives and sequence of the session, including an explanation of how to place the electrodes in this case.

The session libraries guarantee maximum user comfort. Thanks to their ease of use, the libraries are also ideal for supporting assistants during treatment.

Create your own templates

Design customised templates according to your own script (with your files).

Just because you can easily get started with our ready-made templates doesn't mean that the Neuromaster system limits your flexibility. You can also easily create your own sessions according to your personal script.

There are virtually no limits to your freedom here. You can not only use our extensive set of multimedia files, but also your own or those of clients (e.g. holiday videos).

Creation is simple and intuitive via drag & drop. Simply drag the desired element into the window in which you want it to appear.

Service

From the first consultation to years after the purchase - we are there for you!

Another important point is the service that is offered in addition to pure system sales. Insight Instruments supports you here with training courses, tutorials, certified biofeedback training, marketing documents and much more.

Our goal is the success of our customers!

HARDWARE

Overview of the sensors

The centrepiece of our system is the Neuromaster, a multimodal biofeedback and neurofeedback device with 3 operating modes (wireless operation, stationary via power supply unit, mobile 24-hour measurement).

The Neuromaster includes the Neuromodule sensors. Six different sensors record up to 28 parameters. The sensors were developed in such a way that measurement artefacts caused by cable movement are almost completely eliminated!

P

Multi-sensor (skin conductance, pulse and temperature)

The multisensor is our very special development that allows several parameters to be derived from one finger.

Skin conductance and temperature are used intensively in biofeedback for relaxation, migraine prophylaxis, epilepsy and much more. The pulse can be used for basic HRV training.

P

ECG sensor (heart rate variability)

The ECG sensor is specially designed for the precise analysis and training of heart rate variability. If you would like to find out more about this more than exciting concept, you can do so here.

In general, the ECG sensor is characterised by its almost artefact-free recording and high level of comfort in use - a must for HRV professionals!

P

Vaso sensor (migraine)

The vasosensor usually has a rather spectacular effect on clients and users, as it allows the temporal artery to be opened and closed at will.

The aim of vasoconstriction training in biofeedback is to practise this control to such an extent that the technique can then be used to stop an incipient seizure.

P

EMG sensor (muscle tension)

The EMG sensor precisely records muscle tension and is used intensively in work with the entire musculature, e.g. for pain, rehabilitation and also for exercises in occupational therapy.

Up to 6 EMG channels can be recorded simultaneously.

P

Breath sensor

Breathing is one of the most popular biofeedback parameters and is used, for example, in relaxation training, for anxiety and panic, but also for training heart rate variability.

Breath depth, breath amplitude and breathing curve are recorded, with the aim usually being deep and relaxed abdominal breathing.

Together with the other sensors, there are also new exciting combination possibilities, such as controlling the muscle tension in the shoulders while taking deep breaths.

The Neuromaster system is the only provider to use a non-contact infrared sensor. It is therefore not necessary to wear a belt (no constricting feeling).

P

EEG sensor (neurofeedback)

The EEG sensor is used for Neurofeedback used. Neurofeedback is a sub-category of biofeedback, but is sometimes listed separately. The Neuromaster offers biofeedback AND neurofeedback in one, which is preferable.

The sensor records delta, theta, alpha, beta and ratios as part of the frequency band training.

SOFTWARE

Session libraries

Biofeedback and neurofeedback have been around for decades and studies on their effectiveness have been available for almost as long. Unfortunately, the method had some teething problems, as the early variants were very complex.

Insight Instruments set out in 1990 to change that - to make biofeedback and neurofeedback usable in all their complexity, but not to put the complexity into the application.

There are few concepts that demonstrate this claim more than the session libraries. These are sets of session templates that can be started with just one click. You also receive detailed instructions and further information for each session. This means that anyone can quickly and easily start working with biofeedback and neurofeedback.

You can also easily create your own sessions with our drag & drop builder.

Neurofeedback therapy templates

Breathing training

Breathing training provides templates for breathing biofeedback. Breath pacing is particularly noteworthy here, in which the client is given a breathing rhythm by a rolling ball that they can use as a guide. However, many other feedbacks such as animations are also available. Breathing biofeedback is often used for high blood pressure, relaxation or anxiety.
Neurofeedback therapy templates

Heart rate variability

The Heart rate variability has developed from an insider tip to one of the most important methods in recent years. This library offers many templates for analysing and training this so-called HRV.

Neurofeedback therapy templates

Sleep training

Good sleep is important for everyone. The sleep training library is specifically tailored to this topic and can help you establish a sleep protocol that will help you fall asleep faster.
Neurofeedback therapy templates

Analysis

All work with biofeedback begins with a comprehensive analysis. How does the client react to stress? How well can they relax? Which body system reacts most strongly? All these questions are answered in a biofeedback analysis.
Neurofeedback therapy templates

Muscle building

Muscle tension is strengthened in muscle building biofeedback. The aim for the client is to trace certain patterns with muscle activity. This approach is often used in biofeedback for rehabilitation, incontinence, but also for training self-awareness.

Neurofeedback therapy templates

Food

This is a set of templates that work with food stimuli and help clients who are stressed by these stimuli to get used to them.
Neurofeedback therapy templates

Addictive substances

This is a set of templates that work with food stimuli and help clients who are stressed by these stimuli (e.g. smokers when they give up smoking and are stressed by the sight of other smokers) to get used to them.
Neurofeedback therapy templates

Children

Children are among the clientele that best accept biofeedback and neurofeedback. This library is characterised by a great mix of different modalities that have been specially produced for children and use appropriate playful multimedia material.
Neurofeedback therapy templates

Stress prevention

This library was created in response to the growing problem of burnout. It contains various analysis and training sessions to recognise stress and learn how to deal with it.
Neurofeedback therapy templates

Relaxation training

Relaxation is good for us all, and this library is designed to help. It is a colourful bouquet of relaxation modalities that can be used for a wide variety of purposes. From threshold training, animations and simple line presentations - almost everything is included here!
Neurofeedback therapy templates

Pain prophylaxis

This library contains templates for muscle relaxation, temperature training, combinations of breathing and muscle tension and much more.
Neurofeedback therapy templates

Muscle perception

A close relative of pain prevention is muscle awareness, which relates specifically to the areas of the neck and jaw.
Neurofeedback therapy templates

Confrontation training

This library offers various images (of aeroplanes, animals....), which can be used to familiarise yourself with stressful situations.
Neurofeedback therapy templates

Neurofeedback

Nomen est omen. The neurofeedback library offers a huge set of templates (alpha, beta, beta-theta...) for neurofeedback.
